After 8 minutes, Márcio Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gamelleiras AD and the Piraiauara SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gamelleiras AD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Márcio Carioca hit a great ball. When Ricardinho Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Piraiauara SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardinho Palmeira couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute Ricardinho Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Faustão Veloso could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Severino Mineiro however easily saved by the left post. Faustão Veloso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. In the 44th minute Márcio Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Severino Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Carioca in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gamelleiras AD's Elivélton de Mendonça got a free kick in the 89th minute. Severino Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Zonta in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Márcio Carioca notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Piraiauara SC's Severino Mineiro. Severino Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Gamelleiras AD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
