Enio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristiano Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinei Linares made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Cristiano Cearense sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Cristian Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Renato Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Arantes's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Tony Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Paulo Renato Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Tony Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futgol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Soustur F.C! Paulo Renato Travassos went to the wrong direction when Tony Arantes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cristian Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Dinei Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Tony Arantes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Paulo Renato Travassos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 61st minute, Cristian Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristiano Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinei Linares having to make a save. After 63 minutes, Vito Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soustur F.C and the Futgol players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Thiago Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Paulo Paulista's late challenge caught a Soustur F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Paulo Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Paulo Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Soustur F.C getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Serafim Marinho hit a great ball. Tony Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
