Iacanga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Iacanga's Reginaldo Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Toledo in the 14th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Jorginho Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Reginaldo Passos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Carlos Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Reginaldo Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BURITAMA FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gil Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iacanga's Reginaldo Passos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Iacanga from getting a goal against them. If Zé Carlos Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Iacanga fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BURITAMA FUTEBOL CLUBE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
