Rui Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. Rui Zanette made a great header on Toriba's corner, it was just that Salvador Guardas FC's Afonso Munhoz managed to reach the ball for a save. Silas Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Munhoz having to make a save. In the 21st minute, João Pedro de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Salvador Guardas FC's Afonso Munhoz got control of the ball when Alberto Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evaristo Lucas came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Afonso Munhoz could save by the left post. Silas Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silas Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Munhoz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Salvador Guardas FC defense, Alberto Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Munhoz. The Salvador Guardas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Munhoz should have stopped the shot. Silas Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Afonso Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silas Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silas Pinheiro to make the kick off. Natã Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter de Queiroz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Vides during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Salvador Guardas FC booed when Toriba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Afonso de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toriba and the Salvador Guardas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Toriba's Afonso de Salles got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Charles da Cunha sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gualter de Queiroz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Charles da Cunha this time. Afonso Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Lara in the 62nd minute of play. When Silas Pinheiro, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 67 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Afonso Munhoz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Afonso Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Haroldo Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Zanette, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Toriba booed when Salvador Guardas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Lara's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Salvador Guardas FC's Afonso Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Pinheiro in the 77th minute of play. When Toriba's Silas Pinheiro in 79 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Afonso Munhoz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 83 minutes into the match, Evaristo Lucas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Salvador Guardas FC's Afonso Munhoz. Afonso Munhoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Salvador Guardas FC defense, Silas Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Munhoz. Alberto Lara took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Munhoz. Afonso Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Toriba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
