After a defensive mix-up in Salao's zone, Concetto Beattie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Célio Prado came out of the goal and Concetto Beattie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Célio Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Massa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to Salao getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tostão Gerber hit a great ball. When Alfredinho Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salao's protests and gave Alfredinho Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Red Bull da Barra booed when Salao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Concetto Beattie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Bull da Barra's supporters rose to their feet, but Concetto Beattie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Concetto Beattie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Giovani Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leó Polgár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Red Bull da Barra's Concetto Beattie got a free kick in the 31st minute. Salao's Célio Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Pinho in the 37th minute of play. Tostão Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. José Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Prado having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Red Bull da Barra! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gonçalo Pinho made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Salao's Maicon da Silva got a free kick in the 56th minute. A collision led to Red Bull da Barra getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. José Dantas hit a great ball. Giovani Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leó Polgár having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Concetto Beattie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salao's Célio Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Pinho in the 63rd minute of play. Albertinho Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chaichana Schweinsteiger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Concetto Beattie might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Célio Prado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Concetto Beattie ran back to his position shaking his head. Salao's Célio Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Salao from getting a goal against them. Concetto Beattie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Célio Prado made a huge save. If Concetto Beattie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Salao got a freekick which was hit by José Massa. Concetto Beattie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Prado having to interfere. Leó Polgár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Célio Prado made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Concetto Beattie sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Célio Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Red Bull da Barra's Leó Polgár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Reis in the 97th minute of play.
