In the 15th match minute, real madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Itinga City's Carlos Alberto Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Itinga City booed when real madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda Batista didn't quite understand what happened when in the 22 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Fernandez in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Chiquinho Fernandez sped through real madrid's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Cordeiro. Dagoberto Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Cordeiro was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If Chiquinho Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The wind increased when Chiquinho Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Chiquinho Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itinga City's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Fernandez in the 68th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Kléberson de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 78 minutes, Chiquinho Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itinga City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquinho Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Cordeiro having to interfere. Chiquinho Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho Fernandez got free with Nicolas Cordeiro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Nicolas Cordeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Itinga City's Chiquinho Fernandez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 90 minutes, Ciro Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the real madrid and the Itinga City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes real madrid got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Tinoco. Carlos Alberto Ferraz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Cordeiro having to make a save.
