Joel Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Mattsson in the 25th minute of the match. If Geovani de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored BentoBoysFC's protests and gave Carlos Alberto de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Luz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Luz in the 77th minute of play forced Hail Rio Preto's goalkeeper Joel Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Hail Rio Preto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BentoBoysFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
