Olov Mattsson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Curva's zone, Eduardo Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Eduardo Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Geovani de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Eduardo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Curva getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bernardinho Zonta hit a great ball. Geovani de Brito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Vasconcelos came out and tried to block the shot, but Geovani de Brito slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. When BentoBoysFC's Eduardo Luz in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curva's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute Edson Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Curva got a freekick which was hit by Raí Pombal. After having played for 43 minutes, Eduardo Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BentoBoysFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BentoBoysFC's Geovani de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Curva's Simão Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulysses Pimenta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rony Paraense to make the kick off. When Raí Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curva's protests and gave Raí Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. Raí Pombal hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When BentoBoysFC's Eduardo Luz in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curva's goalie prevented a goal. In the 60th minute of the match, Rony Paraense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulysses Pimenta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Luz in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pedro Luiz de Alcântara, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 68th match minute, BentoBoysFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto de Brito to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the BentoBoysFC defense, Simão Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulysses Pimenta. The BentoBoysFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Pimenta should have stopped the shot. A collision led to BentoBoysFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Olov Mattsson hit a great ball. BentoBoysFC's Eduardo Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, BentoBoysFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Paraense came free, but Ulysses Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BentoBoysFC's zone, Bernardinho Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Pimenta came out of the goal and Bernardinho Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão Costa got free with Ulysses Pimenta in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Luz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Curva's Bernardinho Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eduardo Luz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the BentoBoysFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Luz couldn't finish the play.
