In the 18thth minute of the game Vladimir Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camocim EC's Nilmar Arantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Matorin in the 23rd minute of play forced Camocim EC's goalkeeper Nilmar Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Marquez's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Fernandinho Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Camocim EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Raphael Marquez took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gilberto Faria to make any attempt to save it. After 31 played minutes Itaicaba SS got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Simão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Marquez in the 38th minute of play forced Itaicaba SS's goalkeeper Gilberto Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 48 played minutes, Itaicaba SS's Dorival Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nilmar Arantes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itaicaba SS reached it.

The wind increased when Raphael Marquez made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fernandinho Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute Raphael Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Marquez in the 65th minute of the match. Gilberto Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Gilberto Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Marquez in the 72nd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Afonsinho Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Novaes in the 83rd minute of play forced Camocim EC's goalkeeper Nilmar Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Vladimir Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Hoffmann in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Itaicaba SS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. João Augusto de Godoi hit a great ball. Gilberto Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Camocim EC had played much better football throughout.
