Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elias Moraes started the match with the kick off. Sandro Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gabriel Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael Teixeira in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Moraes in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Batistense F. C.'s Elias Moraes in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mamoria's goalie prevented a goal. When Virgílio Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Batistense F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Vitório Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Virgílio Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vitório Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Elias Moraes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Vitório Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batistense F. C.. Wellington Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Elias Moraes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mamoria's Vitório Rocha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Vitório Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Elias Moraes took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Vitório Rocha to make any attempt to save it. Elias Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vitório Rocha came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 83rd minute. Elias Moraes made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 93rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vitório Rocha would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Batistense F. C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
