Wieslaw Puszynski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Digo Pena in the 17th minute. After 19 minutes Grossos SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Goi Quijana who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Prata in the 21st minute of play forced Garajuva EC's goalkeeper Ademar Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Digo Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Puszynski. Grossos SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Digo Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Benjamin Pierres scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wieslaw Puszynski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Caco de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ademar Freire was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Wieslaw Puszynski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Benjamin Pierres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Wieslaw Puszynski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Pierres in the 42nd minute of play forced Grossos SS's goalkeeper Wieslaw Puszynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Pierres was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Garajuva EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 44th minute Caco de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marquinhos Nascimento made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Walmir Monteiro immediately put the ball in play. With a little luck, Grossos SS's Wieslaw Puszynski got control of the ball when Digo Pena tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caco de Lara to make the kick off. A collision led to Grossos SS getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. André Luiz de Toledo hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Grossos SS's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Pierres came free, but Wieslaw Puszynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match, Caco de Lara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ademar Freire saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Pierres in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wieslaw Puszynski saved Grossos SS from getting behind. Raimundo Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Grossos SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Viana to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Digo Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wieslaw Puszynski was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 68 minutes into the game, Grossos SS's Caco de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademar Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Grossos SS were furious when Sílvio Luiz Silva was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 79th match minute, Grossos SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Silva to maneuver through the defense. If Digo Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes in the game Marquinhos Nascimento did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Walmir Monteiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Prata in the 87th minute of play forced Garajuva EC's goalkeeper Ademar Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademar Freire came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Grossos SS's Valdo Prata. But to his dismay, Valdo Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Wieslaw Puszynski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Digo Pena went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
