Gerson Donato was a little too slow when André Luís de Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Durval Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durval Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jefferson Prestes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerson Donato. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Jefferson Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Vander in the 33rd minute of play. Matinada's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Eugênio Tinoco scored to the left of an out of position Gerson Donato, making the score, 3-0. Afonso de Amaral hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Eugênio Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Jefferson Prestes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerson Donato, 4-0. Jefferson Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gerson Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manoel de Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Cristóvão Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Tinoco in the 54th minute of play forced Matinada's goalkeeper Gerson Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jefferson Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Prestes in the 62nd minute of the match. David Soares hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Eugênio Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karaoke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerson Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jefferson Prestes's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Gerson Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute, Eugênio Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karaoke fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jefferson Prestes in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerson Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karaoke's Eugênio Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jefferson Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Donato having to interfere. Jefferson Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jefferson Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Matinada defense, Sandrinho Vander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerson Donato. The Matinada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerson Donato should have stopped the shot. Karaoke's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
