Aimé Dufay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Filipe Veloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erasmo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. João Vítor Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Louis Scheunchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orleans FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arenosa the free kick. In the 18th minute Vladimir de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimé Dufay in the 21st minute of play forced Arenosa's goalkeeper Filipe Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aimé Dufays short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Filipe Veloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Aimé Dufay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Scheunchen, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Aimé Dufay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Filipe Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir de Carvalho came free in the 31st minute and tried to tip the ball over João Vítor Quirino, but to the joy of Orleans FC's supporters the ball went over. When Robinho Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orleans FC's protests and gave Robinho Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. 37 minutes into the match, Arenosa's goalkeeper Filipe Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aimé Dufay. 39 minutes into the game, Aimé Dufay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Filipe Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience held their breath when Vladimir de Carvalho in the 45th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the João Vítor Quirino's left hand side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aimé Dufay made the kick off in the second half. When Emanuel Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arenosa's protests and gave Emanuel Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arenosa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Emanuel Loyola hit a great ball. Filipe Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimé Dufay in the 67th minute of play. Aimé Dufay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Veloso having to interfere. Louis Scheunchen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aimé Dufay, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Filipe Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aimé Dufay's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Aimé Dufay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the game, Orleans FC's Louis Scheunchen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimé Dufay in the 89th minute of play forced Arenosa's goalkeeper Filipe Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Louis Scheunchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Orleans FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arenosa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
