Finlandia AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belchior Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clark Langston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Douglas Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When AC Indaial's Eliézer Dracena in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Finlandia AD's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute, Finlandia AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clark Langston fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Douglas Sampaio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clark Langston went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Finlandia AD defense, Clark Langston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Sampaio. The Finlandia AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Sampaio should have stopped the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Finlandia AD's goalkeeper Douglas Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clark Langston. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anderson Paranaense made a kick off. Douglas Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Bertassi in the 54th minute of the match. When Clark Langston came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the AC Indaial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clark Langston couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Eliézer Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Indaial's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Clark Langston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Clark Langston made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Sampaio. Finlandia AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 71st match minute, Finlandia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clark Langston's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Anderson Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mito Ceni having to interfere. Clark Langston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Eliézer Dracena made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Sampaio. Finlandia AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 84th minute Clark Langston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Dracena in the 88th minute of play. Mathias Fantini's late challenge caught a AC Indaial's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. Clark Langston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Douglas Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AC Indaial booed when Finlandia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belchior Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Clark Langston sped through Finlandia AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Douglas Sampaio. Finlandia AD's Douglas Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Langston in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC Indaial fully deserved thier win.
