Fabrício Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jubai EC. The crowd rose to their feet as Jubai EC's Diego Vera slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabrício Netto. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Jubai EC's Oswaldo Eger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabrício Netto but with some difficulty. When Baltazar Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona F.C's protests and gave Baltazar Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Barcelona F.C getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Baltazar Carneiro hit a great ball. Jubai EC's Vitinho Queiroz suffered a concussion after 38 minutes and had to leave the field. When Alfredinho Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona F.C's protests and gave Alfredinho Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barcelona F.C! When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Jubai EC's Wágner Soares got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fabrício Netto. Fabrício Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when João Augusto da Costa made the kick off in the second half. Diego Vera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fabrício Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Lucas made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Murilo Simões sent off a good shot on target. After 60 minutes, Vladimir Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona F.C and the Jubai EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wágner Soares walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 63rd minute, Igor Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Barcelona F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Soares came free, but Fabrício Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Vera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Dedê Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barcelona F.C booed when Jubai EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Zilles didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Erlantz during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Jubai EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 76th minute, when Barcelona F.C's Gustavo Botelho after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Armindo Lucas in Jubai EC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Baltazar Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Diego Vera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Barcelona F.C's Fabrício Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Vera in the 92nd minute of play. Dedê Rezende hit a great freekick 100 minutes into the match. Gustavo Botelho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 101st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armindo Lucas. Jubai EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
