Aníbal Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Celebrande's Vágner Borges nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arthur Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Itapemirim S.A. booed when Celebrande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Gargasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. He Feng Guang struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dalmo Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celebrande. Jorginho Ceresso came out of the goal and Thomás Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The corner was taken by Thomás Capixaba in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Celebrande's He Feng Guang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmo Souza. That made the score 0-7 after 73 minutes of play. If Vágner Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vágner Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Souza having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, He Feng Guang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dalmo Souza, 0-8.
