An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino de Azevedo in the 39th minute of play forced Mudanca AD's goalkeeper Flávio Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gildo Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manaós Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Zilles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But to his dismay, Albertino de Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Simão got free with Flávio Breckenfeld in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
