Manica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manaós Esporte Clube the free kick. After a rather tough play, Manica's Dorian Eger got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 5 played minutes Manica got a freekick which was hit by Noel Rocha. If Gildo Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Manica got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Branco. Albertino de Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertinho Andrade having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, Manaós Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Eger came free, but Allan Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Manica's Noel Rocha. But to his dismay, Noel Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Chicão Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manaós Esporte Clube the free kick. Chicão Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Manica's zone, Albertino de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Andrade came out of the goal and Albertino de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Manica getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sérgio Branco hit a great ball. Manica's Albertinho Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Zilles in the 31st minute of play. The Manaós Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Manaós Esporte Clube's Albertino de Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Simão got free with Albertinho Andrade in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Branco in the 45th minute of play forced Manaós Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Allan Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Eger got free with Allan Ribeiro in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Manaós Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Manaós Esporte Clube's Albertino de Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Manaós Esporte Clube's Allan Ribeiro got control of the ball when Dorian Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albertino de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Andrade was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Albertinho Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Manaós Esporte Clube booed when Manica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Luisinho Simão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albertinho Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Manaós Esporte Clube's Gildo Zilles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albertinho Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Manaós Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
