When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Nilton Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paulo Sarmento to make any attempt to save it. Paulo Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Ortiz in the 17th minute of the match. Pedrão Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jerônimo Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Barons FC's Paulo Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Barons FC from getting a goal against them. Bengt-Rune Tingberg scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nilton Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nilton Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Tingberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Sarmento. Barons FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Rune Tingberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Barons FC's Nilson Carioca managed to work through BANDOLEIROS UNITED's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nilson Carioca dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Pedrão Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Carioca in the 47th minute of play.

Nilton Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Sarmento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilton Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bengt-Rune Tingberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Nilton Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Rune Tingberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Paulo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Sarmento had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Nilton Ortiz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Barons FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Edvaldo Hermes hit a great ball. Bengt-Rune Tingberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Luiz Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barons FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BANDOLEIROS UNITED the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Barons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Pena to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Barons FC booed when BANDOLEIROS UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriana Alfonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nilton Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Sarmento was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Bengt-Rune Tingberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Sarmento having to interfere. If Nilton Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barons FC's goalkeeper Paulo Sarmento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Barons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Ortiz came free, but Paulo Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
