Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Régis Pernambucano started the match with the kick off. Ismael Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Motta in the 3rd minute of play. If Régis Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademir Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Torres in the 10th minute of the match. Apinage's Ismael Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Pernambucano in the 12th minute of play. Ademir Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edu Carvalho in the 21st minute. The supporters of Chiqueirinho booed when Apinage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Gilson Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chiqueirinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The long shot by Durvalino Cavalcante in the 26th minute really tested Ademir Baptista's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edu Carvalho came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ademir Baptista could save by the left post. Virgílio de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Régis Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chiqueirinho booed when Apinage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donatello Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Chiqueirinho's Guilherme Abreu got a free kick in the 36th minute. Edu Carvalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ademir Baptista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Apinage's Edu Carvalho in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chiqueirinho's goalie prevented a goal. Apinage's Ismael Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Pernambucano in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Apinage made a substitution. Caio Santana replaced Pedrinho Nascimento. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Wiliam Peres put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Apinage fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Ademir Baptista came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Apinage's Durvalino Cavalcante. But to his dismay, Durvalino Cavalcante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 70thth minute of the game Donatello Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chiqueirinho's Ademir Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gilson Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donatello Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademir Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Chiqueirinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Chiqueirinho's zone, Donatello Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademir Baptista came out of the goal and Donatello Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Durvalino Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donatello Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chiqueirinho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
