Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sampaio Corrêa FC's Vladimir Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Reis in the 5th minute of play. Vladimir Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 13 minutes into the game, one of Ipeuate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. José Moura placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Bebeto Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Dinei Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipeuate's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinei Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Sampaio Corrêa FC's Vladimir Cordeiro got control of the ball when Dinei Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vladimir Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Dinei Veloso sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Sérgio Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sampaio Corrêa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipeuate the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Sampaio Corrêa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vladimir Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinei Veloso went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sampaio Corrêa FC's Angelo Marquez got a free kick in the 46th minute. Ipeuate's Vladimir Sabóia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sampaio Corrêa FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

64 minutes into the match, Ipeuate's goalkeeper Jaime Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebeto Ceresso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Veloso in the 65th minute of play forced Sampaio Corrêa FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimir Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ipeuate's Dinei Veloso. But to his dismay, Dinei Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diguinho Valladares during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 74 played minutes Ipeuate got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Valladares. In the 77th minute, Vladimir Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, José Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ipeuate getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kléber Reis hit a great ball. José Paulo Alcântara's late challenge caught a Sampaio Corrêa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Jaime Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Perez in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Ipeuate getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Diguinho Valladares hit a great ball. Jaime Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ipeuate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sampaio Corrêa FC for a fine match.
