Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Sidney Travassos made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 minutes, Luís Gustavo de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Combate and the Cantori AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Gustavo de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cantori AD's Sidney Travassos fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 5thth minute of the game Adhemar Miranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Combate's Zeca Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeca Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Combate's Richard Salgado got a free kick in the 9th minute. Celso Britto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesinha Fernandes having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Travassos in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Adhemar Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeca Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Travassos went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Luiz Paulo Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Cantori AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Zeca Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Adhemar Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeca Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Travassos in the 39th minute of play. Celso Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cesinha Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Adhemar Miranda put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Zeca Vale. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Sidney Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Cantori AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Travassos couldn't finish the play. Celso Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeca Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Rui Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cantori AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Combate the free kick. In the 71st minute, Rui Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Adhemar Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cantori AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Britto in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesinha Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cantori AD's goalkeeper Cesinha Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Combate's Luís Gustavo de Azevedo got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Sidney Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Combate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cantori AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Cantori AD.
