Algeria AD's Claudinei Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Algeria AD from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Algeria AD's zone, Davi Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Fantini came out of the goal and Davi Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurício Meirelless short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Claudinei Fantini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. João Vítor Soares hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Algeria AD's Claudinei Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Krueger in the 90th minute of play. Maurício Meirelles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Claudinei Fantini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
