Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Riachuelo's Cristóvão Costa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amauri Pirani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Paraíba in the 5th minute. Riachuelo's Amauri Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo França in the 10th minute of play. Amauri Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldir Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Oswaldo França reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amauri Pirani. The goal made the score 1-0. Alexandre Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Amauri Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iuri Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Peixoto in the 27th minute of the match. Iuri Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that José Vítor Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iuri Nóbrega was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Waldir Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iuri Nóbrega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldir Leme's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristóvão Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amauri Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, José Vítor Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Cristóvão Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riachuelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iuri Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Riachuelo booed when Tuiutinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaká Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Riachuelo's Amauri Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Melo in the 82nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Riachuelo's Kaká Vianna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iuri Nóbrega. That made the score 2-1 after 86 minutes of play. 90 minutes into the game, Oswaldo França cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Amauri Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iuri Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Costa in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Riachuelo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tuiutinga.
