Vicente Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Brasil in the 16th minute of play. Natã de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Romeu Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Salgadinho SS's Romeu Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Linhares in the 25th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match, Sandrinho Brasil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vicente Corrêa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Isaltino Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
