In a very dangerous position, a player in Arabuta AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 10th minute Dráusio Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Régis Brodel managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Arabuta AD's Aílton Cardoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 16 minutes into the game, Patrick Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pacia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arabuta AD the free kick. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pacia! Valério Nunes took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fábio da Silva. Luís Fábio da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 24th minute Valério Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Toscano hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Arabuta AD's Aílton Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernandão de Castro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Aílton Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aílton Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pacia's zone, Claudinho Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Brodel came out of the goal and Claudinho Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Teles in the 41st minute of play forced Arabuta AD's goalkeeper Luís Fábio da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Régis Brodel made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Valério Nunes made the kick off in the second half. Rubinho Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Brodel having to interfere. If Rubinho Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aílton Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Arabuta AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Arabuta AD's Oséas Tróia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pacia. Luís Fábio da Silva was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Valério Nunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valério Nunes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. 80 minutes into the match, Arabuta AD's goalkeeper Luís Fábio da Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandinho Pitta. The supporters of Arabuta AD booed when Pacia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arabuta AD's Aílton Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arabuta AD's Luís Fábio da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Arabuta AD from getting a goal against them. Although Arabuta AD had been in control for most of the match, Pacia still came away with the win.
