Ismael Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Machado hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Milonga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Arósio came free, but Ismael Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavinho Arósio in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Penha saved Milonga FC from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Caria SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Machado came free, but Benedito Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ian Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Adriano Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milonga FC and the Caria SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriano Lara hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ian Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Prata having to interfere. If José Maria Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Machado to make the kick off. José Maria Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benedito Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Paraíba in the 57th minute of play forced Milonga FC's goalkeeper Ismael Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Machado in the 66th minute of play forced Caria SC's goalkeeper Benedito Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th play minute Flavinho Arósio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ismael Penha. 0-1. Wilson Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 minutes of play Milonga FC's Adriano Lara was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th match minute, Milonga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Lara to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Milonga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Paraíba came free, but Ismael Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, José Maria Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benedito Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Maria Machado struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Benedito Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milonga FC. Wilson Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benedito Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Wilson Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedito Prata. Caria SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilson Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Milonga FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
