When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Pedro Paulo Simões put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sandro Silva. 17 minutes into the match, Pedro Paulo Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Silva. Donato Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Vianna in the 21st minute of play. Pedro Paulo Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Silva having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Muraja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Vianna came free, but Donato Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Simões in the 33rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Cipriano Vianna took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Donato Tasso to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor de Godoy during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes, Sergi FC's Luiz Fábio Leme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato Tasso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sergi FC reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Vianna made a kick off. Ronaldão Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarbas Pires in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Tasso saved Muraja FC from getting behind. After 55 played minutes Sergi FC got a freekick which was hit by Belchior Mota. Pedro Paulo Simões had several of the Sergi FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Sandro Silva as he didn't even see the shot coming. Donato Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Muraja FC's Pedro Paulo Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandro Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Muraja FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Diniz. Sergi FC's Ronaldão Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Muraja FC's Renan Paraense suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 84th match minute, Sergi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Vianna to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Muraja FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sergi FC throughout the match.
