The crowd rose to their feet as Vitinho Furlan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Paulo Brasil. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 19th minute Vitinho Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Percival Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Siqueira came out of the goal and Percival Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Testundera Pestun's Arí Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Arí Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Testundera Pestun's supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Percival Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Siqueira. Gameleira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percival Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Percival Linhares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Paulo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes Gameleira FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Furlan. When Vitinho Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gameleira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Furlan couldn't finish the play. When Gameleira FC's Vitinho Furlan in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Testundera Pestun's Arí Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitinho Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Gerber in the 90th minute of the match. Percival Linhares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Testundera Pestun's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arí Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Claudinho Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Testundera Pestun's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
