Claudinho Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Linhares in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gameleira FC's Dino Porto got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Testundera Pestun's Dadá Rezende broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hudson Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Furlan in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arí Cardozo got free with Claudinho Siqueira in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vitinho Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luiz Paulo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Testundera Pestun's Wellington Cabral got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Dionísio during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Gameleira FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gameleira FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Siqueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gameleira FC's Diego Dionísio got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Linhares in the 82nd minute of play forced Gameleira FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Percival Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wellington Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
