Fugida AD were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Barcelos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabiano de Barros took the corner. After taking down the ball on Fugida AD's corner Fabiano de Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eliseu Camargo quite easily take care of the ball. Enrique Ferraz charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Ferraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 15 in the game by Afonso Garcia from a close distance when the talented Eliseu Camargo managed to make a qualified save. Barcelos FC's players were relieved. Alessandro Rezende was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Fugida AD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eliseu Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Barcelos FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Amílton Travassos hit a great ball. Afonso Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Rezende struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eliseu Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fugida AD. Alessandro Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vágner Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Afonso Garcia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eliseu Camargo, passed just outside the right post. In the 38th match minute, Barcelos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the game, João Augusto Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fugida AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelos FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Fugida AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barcelos FC:s goal. The referee gave Barcelos FC a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wellington de Queirós, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fugida AD's Luís Fábio Recife. 0-1. Eliseu Camargo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Afonso Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Afonso Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fugida AD's Afonso Garcia in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Magno Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Magno Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fábio Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Vágner Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Eliseu Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Rezende went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barcelos FC! The referee gave Fugida AD a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fabiano de Barros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Barcelos FC's Eliseu Camargo. 2-1. In the 97th match minute, Barcelos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Travassos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelos FC's zone, Alessandro Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Camargo came out of the goal and Alessandro Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Fugida AD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
