The Flamenguista FC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Flamenguista FC's Natã Moreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the match, Guaraniacu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Moreira came free, but Pedro Luiz Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Flamenguista FC's zone, Luciano de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Queirós came out of the goal and Luciano de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luiz Brasil. Guaraniacu SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 24 minutes, Natã Moreira made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Guaraniacu SC's Pedro Luiz Brasil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldo Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Natã Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Moreira to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Luciano de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano de Souza scored 4-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldo Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano de Souza in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guaraniacu SC's zone, Natã Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Brasil came out of the goal and Natã Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Dida Esteves hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Flamenguista FC's Ronaldo Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano de Souza in the 65th minute of play. In the 74th minute of the match Olavo Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luiz Brasil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodriguinho Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luiz Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. Flamenguista FC's Dedé Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Caco Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rdth minute of the game Caco Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaraniacu SC's Pedro Luiz Brasil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Flamenguista FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dedé Sanches hit a great ball. Flamenguista FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
