Rômulo Arantes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Uno FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Arí Prado hit a great ball. The supporters of Itabuna booed when Uno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Cícero Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itabuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rômulo Arantes made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Luiz Fernando Tande sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Matos to make the kick off. Luiz Fernando Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Arantes having to interfere. Uno FC's Rômulo Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Tande in the 63rd minute of play. Uno FC's Gino Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Uno FC's zone, Kaká Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Arantes came out of the goal and Kaká Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Amílton Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Secco in the 73rd minute of play. Rômulo Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Tande in the 75th minute of the match. If Luiz Fernando Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Jaime Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uno FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itabuna the free kick. In the 100th minute, Osmar de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Itabuna were the better team. Itabuna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
