Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vítor Hoffmann got the match started through his kick off. MEVI SC's Sydney Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri de Castro in the 3rd minute of play. Gino Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Tavares in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Edgard de Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gilboes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MEVI SC the free kick. Yuri de Castro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Saraiva. Sydney Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gino Lago came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by MEVI SC's Almir Tavares. But to his dismay, Almir Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 30th minute Mauro Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Torres to make the kick off. When Almir Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the MEVI SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir Tavares couldn't finish the play. The supporters of MEVI SC booed when Gilboes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. MEVI SC's Sydney Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri de Castro in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to MEVI SC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Paulo José Passos hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Diego da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes MEVI SC got a freekick which was hit by Diego da Costa. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
