Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Umberto Siqueira started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Veiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilmar Peres. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Betinho Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Moraes in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Claudinei de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Betinho Trigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Betinho Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei de Mendonça in the 17th minute of the match. Umberto Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Internacional SC booed when Forever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Trigo having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Elivélton Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto Siqueira during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Forever got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Siqueira. In the 31st minute, Frederico Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Internacional SC's Ciro Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betinho Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei de Mendonça in the 40th minute of play. Nilmar Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Veiga went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei de Mendonça to make the kick off. Claudinei de Mendonça in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Betinho Trigo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Claudinei de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Betinho Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional SC. 59 minutes into the match, Forever's goalkeeper Betinho Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei de Mendonça. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Veiga in the 62nd minute of play forced Internacional SC's goalkeeper Nilmar Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Kauã Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauã Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauã Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Trigo having to interfere. Claudinei de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Aureo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Internacional SC got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Aureo. In the 75th minute, Davi Simões sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Internacional SC's Nilmar Peres didn't even have to move. Betinho Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Abreu in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Internacional SC booed when Forever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Internacional SC's Kauã Eger got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Gilvan Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Internacional SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Eger to maneuver through the defense. The Forever support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
