The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mateus Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Marcel Miranda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pratapolis's Naldo Freitas. Naldo Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MEDELLIN RECORDS's Mateus Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pratapolis's zone, Eduardo Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Freitas came out of the goal and Eduardo Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pratapolis's Dinei Tasso in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MEDELLIN RECORDS's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Dudu Mineiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eduardo Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Freitas having to interfere. After some careless play in the MEDELLIN RECORDS defense, Dinei Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dudu Mineiro. The MEDELLIN RECORDS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dudu Mineiro should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, MEDELLIN RECORDS's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Tasso came free, but Dudu Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, MEDELLIN RECORDS's goalkeeper Dudu Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Miranda. Joel Duarte hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateus Ortiz to make the kick off. Naldo Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Ortiz in the 52nd minute of play. Dudu Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Miranda in the 56th minute of play. Delfim Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dadá Corrêa made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MEDELLIN RECORDS's Carlos Eduardo da Fonseca. In the 65th match minute, MEDELLIN RECORDS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Tasso in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dudu Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Naldo Freitas made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Eduardo Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to MEDELLIN RECORDS getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Benjamim Vander hit a great ball. When Pratapolis's Dinei Tasso in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MEDELLIN RECORDS's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Naldo Freitas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Mateus Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Naldo Freitas to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the game, Mateus Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MEDELLIN RECORDS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pratapolis the free kick. In the 87th match minute, MEDELLIN RECORDS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. If Mateus Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Naldo Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded MEDELLIN RECORDS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pratapolis.
