In the 7th minute, Olavo Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mateus Tande acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Guilherme Simões. V-TEAM's Antônio Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Fonseca in the 13th minute of play. Gilberto da Silveira struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Antônio Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Napoleao. After 19 played minutes V-TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Arruda. After a defensive mix-up in Napoleao's zone, Severino Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Tande came out of the goal and Severino Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Paiva during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Napoleao got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Paiva. In the 34th minute Olavo Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Zé Carlos Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. V-TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateus Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, V-TEAM's Severino Pena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mateus Tande. Mateus Tande yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Severino Pena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateus Tande came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Pena slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 41st minute. Mateus Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Rocha in the 47th minute of play.
The wind increased when Olavo Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Olavo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mateus Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Oséias Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mateus Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Olavo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Tande having to interfere. Oséias Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. V-TEAM's Olavo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. V-TEAM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
