After 20 played minutes, Oval Swarovski Crystal's Cido Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aloísio Severo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oval Swarovski Crystal reached it. Luiz Fabiano Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto França in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Futebol Clube Santa Cruz booed when Oval Swarovski Crystal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oval Swarovski Crystal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
