Pedrinho Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Leão Dourado Futebol Club's zone, Pedrinho Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel de Senna came out of the goal and Pedrinho Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Pedrinho Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viseu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dedê Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Samuel de Senna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Viseu's Percival Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Viseu got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Gerber. Matheus Matorin struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Amadeu Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leão Dourado Futebol Club. Amadeu Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Batista in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Pedrinho Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Dedê Azevedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Samuel de Senna acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 49th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedrinho Lopes.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Paulo Chaves was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Amadeu Ramos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luís Paulo Chaves scored 0-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 56 played minutes Viseu got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Lopes. Luís Paulo Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 76th minute of the match Naldo Simões shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel de Senna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Viseu's Dedê Azevedo in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Viseu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Leão Dourado Futebol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
