In the 3rd minute, Leão Dourado Futebol Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valdir Lago fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leão Dourado Futebol Club's Samuel de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Leão Dourado Futebol Club from getting a goal against them. If Jerônimo Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Gualter Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Batista went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jerônimo Mello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Samuel de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tupanci's Lúcio Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Simões in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Tupanci's Dito Nogueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Jerônimo Mello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Samuel de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leão Dourado Futebol Club's zone, Jerônimo Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel de Senna came out of the goal and Jerônimo Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Dito Nogueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Samuel de Senna. The goal made the score 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Jerônimo Mello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samuel de Senna. That made the score 3-1 in the 34 minute of play. Samuel de Senna stood somewhat misplaced when Jerônimo Mello came free in front of goal and shot 4-1 to the left of him in the 41 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tupanci's zone, Cássio Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Salles came out of the goal and Cássio Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Dito Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel de Senna having to interfere. Lúcio Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Domingues in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Gualter Damião shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel de Senna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Tupanci's Filipe de Medeiros got a free kick in the 58th minute. Samuel de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Nogueira in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Nogueira in the 65th minute of play forced Leão Dourado Futebol Club's goalkeeper Samuel de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel de Senna was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Dito Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel de Senna having to interfere. After some careless play in the Leão Dourado Futebol Club defense, Jerônimo Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel de Senna. The Leão Dourado Futebol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel de Senna should have stopped the shot. Jerônimo Mello struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Samuel de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupanci. 84 minutes into the match, Tupanci's Dito Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel de Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerônimo Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Mello in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Leão Dourado Futebol Club getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Valério Cearense hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Dito Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tupanci fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Tupanci players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
