The Tiros fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Tiros's Daniel Vale looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniel Vale struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Pedro Augusto Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiros. Tiros's Dionísio Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Brito in the 28th minute of play. Mané Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Augusto Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Nogueira in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Farrapo Fantasma FC's Pedro Augusto Matos got control of the ball when Daniel Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Farrapo Fantasma FC's zone, Daniel Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Matos came out of the goal and Daniel Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laerte Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Laerte Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionísio Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Mané Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Laerte Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionísio Bueno was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando Nogueira in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Augusto Matos saved Farrapo Fantasma FC from getting behind. Daniel Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Matos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Farrapo Fantasma FC's zone, Luís Fernando Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Matos came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiros's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
