The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elói Simão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Varzeado booed when Siqueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Artur Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Siqueiro's Elói Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Ortiz in the 21st minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Moisés Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Siqueiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Nogueira couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Siqueiro's Ezequiel Arósio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aníbal Silveira. Aníbal Silveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilton Prado to strike the kick off in the second half. Elói Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Severo in the 52nd minute of play. Edson Alves's late challenge caught a Varzeado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aníbal Silveira came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Siqueiro's Ezequiel Arósio. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos da Mata during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was a well-played corner which Jardel Galvão managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 81stth minute of the game Carlos Quaresma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varzeado's Aníbal Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Moisés Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aníbal Silveira. Varzeado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moisés Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Siqueiro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
