Cristiano da Costa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Oséias Ferreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Piauna EC's Oséias Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Piauna EC from getting a goal against them. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Abreu couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Piauna EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Guedes came free, but Oséias Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, one of Quilombo Tomé Nunes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Quilombo Tomé Nunes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
