Mário Goiano hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Almeidas's Pedro Luiz de Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizão Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Paratudal's Luizão Netto got control of the ball when Evandro Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ruy Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Paratudal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruy Cardoso couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Almeidas got a freekick which was hit by Mário Goiano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Paulo Eger in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio Mendonça saved Almeidas from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Pedro Paulo Eger made a precise shot to the right of Geovânio Mendonça. Almeidas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Almeidas's Geovânio Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Eger in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Evandro Valladares made a precise shot to the right of Luizão Netto. Paratudal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Luizão Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademir Alves went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Paulo Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Paratudal booed when Almeidas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Paulo Eger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Geovânio Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paratudal's Luizão Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Alves in the 79th minute of play. Ademir Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Netto having to interfere. Geovânio Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Cardoso in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Paratudal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Dracena to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Amílton Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizão Netto skillfully saved the ball. After 90 minutes, Perivaldo Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paratudal and the Almeidas players grew even worse after the yellow card.
