Spectators: 6933 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Noel Leme started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rei de Ouro's zone, Christiano Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo da Silva came out of the goal and Christiano Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Léo da Silva made a huge save. Léo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Veloso in the 12th minute of the match. Léo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Veloso in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Henrique Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curintia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arlindo da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Léo da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Schmidt in the 37th minute of play forced Curintia's goalkeeper Arlindo da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Léo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Veloso in the 39th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Rei de Ouro's Edson Schmidt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 minutes, Rosendo Guillelmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rei de Ouro and the Curintia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rei de Ouro's Léo da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Veloso in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Veloso in the 59th minute of play forced Rei de Ouro's goalkeeper Léo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Ademir Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Curintia's Severino Brasil got a free kick in the 66th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Rei de Ouro's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Munhoz came free, but Léo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Munhoz in the 78th minute of play forced Rei de Ouro's goalkeeper Léo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Noel Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Léo da Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 85 minutes, Bernardinho Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rei de Ouro and the Curintia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Curintia. Dagoberto Munhoz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Léo da Silva. 4-1. Christiano Penha took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Léo da Silva. Léo da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Curintia's Henrique Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Curintia were the better team. Curintia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
