Claudinei Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Claudinei Soares put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yuri Moraes. After 17 minutes, Cássio de Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vauzinho and the Hellhound players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Cássio de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Yuri Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Soares struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Yuri Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hellhound. Allan Sarmento hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vauzinho booed when Hellhound was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Vauzinho getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Aníbal Vander hit a great ball. Dagoberto Piress short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Axel Apelqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute of the match Adalberto Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 48th minute, Hellhound's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hermínio Reis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Vauzinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hellhound were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Hermínio Reis made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Hellhound's Artur Faustino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Artur Faustino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hellhound protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Artur Faustino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Axel Apelqvist went to the wrong direction when Aníbal Vander was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Hellhound's Adalberto Furtado got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Hermínio Reis came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Vauzinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Reis couldn't finish the play. Axel Apelqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Reis in the 67th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Dagoberto Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hellhound's Axel Apelqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Axel Apelqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Vauzinho got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Vander. Axel Apelqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermínio Reis went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
