Marcelo Prado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Claudinei Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Schmidt's late challenge caught a Amarelo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrique Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Guarakessaba SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Henrique Schmidt hit a great ball. Pedro Luiz Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute of the match, José Vítor Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filipe de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filipe de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Schmidt in the 56th minute of the match. João Paulo Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amarelo SS's zone, José Vítor Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe de Azevedo came out of the goal and José Vítor Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amarelo SS's Filipe de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Schmidt in the 67th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Marcelo Prado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodriguinho Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe de Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. José Vítor Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe de Azevedo having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Claudinei Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Prado. Guarakessaba SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinei Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Guarakessaba SC's Marcelo Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Gaúcho in the 91st minute of play. The Guarakessaba SC fans' excitement grew in the 101st match minute when Guarakessaba SC's José Vítor Oliveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
