Tomatemáticos F.C.'s Frank Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Stolniciu in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Tomatemáticos F.C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Simão Alcântara hit a great ball. Mihnea Stolniciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Pitta having to interfere. Mihnea Stolniciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihnea Stolniciu ran back to his position shaking his head. Simão Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Pitta was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. When Jorginho Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bauru Atlético Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Pinho couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the game, Bauru Atlético Clube's Jorginho Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Tomatemáticos F.C.'s Giovanni da Silveira got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Reinaldo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni da Silveira in the 52nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Tomatemáticos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Trancoso. Mihnea Stolniciu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Bauru Atlético Clube's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jorginho Pinho took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Pitta. Frank Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jorginho Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Frank Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Stolniciu in the 84th minute of play. When Giovanni da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tomatemáticos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Frank Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Stolniciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Jorginho Pinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Frank Pitta however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bauru Atlético Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
