Jefferson Secco helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Cavaca got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Secco. A long shot from Lauro Velasco in the 13th minute of play was well struck, but Dedê Valladares made a really good save at the right post. Cavaca's Dedê Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Velasco in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's Rubinho Hoffmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's Lauro Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chepe Dellasierra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdomiro Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Dedê Valladares managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's Neymar La Forte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dedê Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lauro Velasco in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê Valladares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 44 minutes, Lauro Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cavaca's zone, Neymar La Forte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Valladares came out of the goal and Neymar La Forte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeu Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Lauro Velasco made the kick off in the second half. Márcio Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Neymar La Forte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedê Valladares. Cavaca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neymar La Forte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Jefferson Secco hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Flavinho Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Chepe Dellasierra made a huge save. Neymar La Forte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dedê Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Velasco in the 72nd minute of play. Lauro Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Valladares having to interfere. In the 80th minute Lauro Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Rocha during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Grêmio Esportivo Bagé. Lauro Velasco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dedê Valladares. 7-0. Lauro Velasco walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Flavinho Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chepe Dellasierra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Neymar La Forte made a precise shot to the right of Dedê Valladares. Cavaca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's Lauro Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 99 minutes into the match, Cavaca's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Velasco came free, but Dedê Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Neymar La Forte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lauro Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Dedê Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Grêmio Esportivo Bagé were the better team. Grêmio Esportivo Bagé's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
