Júlio Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wojciech Wolczewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 0-3 became the score in the 30th minute when Ramón Furtado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramón Furtado in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fellipe Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Money Maker's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
